The Phoenician Athletic Club

The Phoenician Athletic Club features a 4,600 square-foot, state-of-the-art fitness center; outdoor activities including bicycling, tennis, pickleball and half-court basketball; and a game room on the first floor with video, arcade, pool table, foosball and shuffleboard.

Our two-story facility blends innovative, modern fitness with pure, recreational fun. Stay fit and active or stop by for some fun and games during your stay.

Fitness Center: Located on the second floor, the fitness center is open 24 hours per day, with room key. Staff available from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The facility is equipped with Peloton bikes, a TRX Suspension Trainer™ and Matrix® free weights, weight machines, elliptical machines and treadmills. Enjoy our movement studio with “fitness on demand” technology, providing guests with hundreds of virtual classes via touchscreen, from yoga to spin. Here you can have a personal trainer right on the television with ample space for movement and engagement. The fitness center does not take cards but offers the option for room charge.

Game Room: Located on the first floor, guests can relax in our 2,100+ square-foot Game Room. This space is not only a great place to chill out, but to engage in some family fun as well. Featuring arcade and video games, as well as shuffleboard, pool & foosball tables, the entertainment never stops! There is also a lounge area with TV and more! Open to registered resort guests from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Tennis: Get outside and enjoy our beautiful facility, featuring nine courts – seven for tennis and two for pickleball. Guests can play a friendly game together, or sign up to take professional, instructor-led lessons. Guests under the Resort Fee receive: Daily tennis court access and equipment use for one hour. Daily pickleball court access and equipment use for one hour. *Balls are not included in the complimentary court time, but Tennis balls and pickle balls are available for purchase in the Tennis Shop until close, and then are available in the fitness center until 8 p.m. Reservations are recommended. Tennis Shop: From clothing to equipment, our tennis shop has you covered. Whether you forgot your visor at home, need a new shirt, or just want a quick snack, we have everything you need for a successful day on the courts. Conveniently located on the lower level of the Athletic Club. Stop by today and see all the shop has to offer: Nike Apparel, Footwear, and Headwear; Phoenician Camelback Water Bottles; Tennis Equipment; Snacks and Beverages. Bike Rental: Rent a bike from the athletic club and explore our spacious grounds or enjoy the beautiful Arizona scenery with a ride off-property. Bikes are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Guests under the resort fee receive bicycle use for two hours, daily. Retail $35pp. Bikes are available sunrise to sunset. *All bikes must be returned before dusk.

Pickleball and Basketball: Pickleball is a fun mix of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It’s super easy to learn and perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Guests under the Resort Fee receive daily pickleball court access and equipment use for one hour. Reservations are required for pickleball. Our regulation-sized (half) basketball court is great for a pick-up game, or to work on your shot. Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Tennis Staff: While enjoying your stay at The Phoenician, you can also take a lesson, join a class, or have a friendly match with our amazing professional tennis instructors. We offer athletic programs for both adults and children, led by our highly skilled staff.
